These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Skill-Forge Inc. ("Skill-Forge", "we", or "us").
By creating an account, browsing our notes, using our code compilers, or interacting with our project roadmaps, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. User Accounts & Responsibilities
To unlock personal progress tracking, saved notes, code execution history, and custom bookmarked learning modules, you must maintain an accurate account.
- Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- Unauthorized Access: Notify us immediately at security@skillforge.dev if you suspect unauthorized account access.
- Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use Skill-Forge.
3. Intellectual Property & Code Ownership
Skill-Forge retains all rights, title, and interest in our proprietary educational material, problem statements, visual design system, curriculum structures, system design diagrams, and software platform infrastructure.
Skill-Forge makes no claim of ownership over any source code, project files, algorithm implementations, or documentation created or submitted by you on our platform. You retain 100% intellectual property rights to all original code you author.
4. Acceptable Code Execution Policy
Skill-Forge provides interactive online execution sandboxes for learning programming languages, testing algorithms, and building software projects. To protect our cloud infrastructure and community:
Container escapes, unauthorized root access, malware/ransomware/cryptomining, port scanning, denial-of-service attacks, or bulk scraper bots.
- Attempting to escape container sandboxes, gain unauthorized root access to host servers, or pivot into backend networks.
- Executing malware, viruses, ransomware, cryptomining scripts, or port scanners.
- Initiating denial-of-service (DoS) attacks or sending automated spam requests.
- Automating bulk scraper bots against Skill-Forge notes or problem solutions without written authorization.
5. AI Suggestions & Platform Tools
Skill-Forge integrates Google Gemini AI to provide real-time code explanations, debugging suggestions, and error diagnosis.
AI output is provided for educational assistance only. AI suggestions may occasionally contain inaccuracies, non-optimal patterns, or unexpected output. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated recommendations before incorporating them into software.
6. Account Suspension & Termination
Skill-Forge reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our Acceptable Code Execution Policy or Community Guidelines, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time via account settings or by submitting a request to our legal desk.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Skill-Forge and its officers, employees, or partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your access to or use of the platform.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal suit or proceeding shall be instituted exclusively in state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When material updates occur, we will revise the "Last Updated" date and publish a notification banner across the platform.
